Ten-year-old Huey and his younger brother Riley have been dragged away from a big city life in Chicago by their grandfather, to live a middleclass life in the very white and idyllic suburb of Woodcrest. In addition to having problems coping with this acute change in home setting, they have trouble adapting to the drastically different suburban cultures and lifestyles. Their story is a biting satire of Americana; addressing issues of race, morality, culture and politics. Adapted from a ‘comic strip’ by Aaron McGruder, this series has found a home with the CN’s Adult Swim programming line up. Aaron McGruder openly credits the anime series Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo as sources of inspiration and the second season of Boondocks will have segments animated by MADHOUSE. The Boondocks I am going to assume that you already seen at least a few episodes of this series. Now if you would like to see something really odd .. try this ...episode 2 with a Japanese dub! Well, at least they did not translate 'golden showers' into Japanese, but just how are they going to translate 'A Pimp Named Slickback' ?.
