Saga is a normal school girl living in Europe. She has everything planned down to the smallest details for her daily life and she works very hard (in addition to being very musical). A young girl named Juna is nearly killed in a motorcycle accident. But she is called back by the mystic boy Chris. Tasuke-kun, an ordinary teenager who while living alone, finds himself in the company of two cute Shugotten (spirits) who have taken it upon themselves to ‘protect’ him. In addition to living with the two spirits, Ruuan (the wood spirit) has somehow become his homeroom teacher at middle school and Shaorin (a spirit of the moon) is now a fellow student in his homeroom class. If only to complicate the situation, most of Tasuke's classmates have set their romantic interests on either him or his spirit companions. And then his father sends him a special gift from China, which included a magic fan with yet another spirit. But Tasuke has always harbored special feelings for Shaorin and slowly their friendship grows amidst the strange magic and chaos of their lives. . |

The three-woman adventure team is almost perfect. With Melissa, the Priestess (blonde); Merrill, the Thief (brown); and Genie, the Swordswoman (red), they need only a mage to balance out their team. Their efforts to recruit a student-sorceress at a magic college town are turned down flat, but the student recommends her good friend, Louie. Louie is a sorcery student who is more interested in barhopping and brawling than his studies (Oh, did I mention that Louie is a guy). Later when Melissa has a holy revelation that the headstrong, brain-weak, and all-around beefy wizard-in-training Louie is to be her champion, a choosen warrior whom she is tasked to help achieve greatness, she can only comment “IT IS AGAINST MY WILL!” But it would seem fate has a nasty sense of humor, and the three adventurers find themselves having to break-in a new team member. |
