Police: (Story/Location) Any title with a primary focus on the police or a police-type organization would fall under this category. An obvious choice would be Taiho Shichauzo! (TV) because it is all about a police station and the police who work there. Another choice would be Witch Hunter Robin since the organization there, while not official police, do deal with investigating crime involving witches. They in effect police the witch population, thus the title would be "Police." ^_^

Rent | High School student Shinichi Kudou was a virtual Sherlock Holmes, who the Tokyo police regularly turned to for help in solving baffling cases. But then he accidentally learned too much for his own good about a murder case, and was caught by the villains. They poisoned him and left him for dead, but the "poison" had an unexpected effect--rather than killing him, it caused Shinichi to revert to the appearance of an elementary school boy! He retains his skills as a brilliant detective, however, and since that incident has managed to become adopted by his former girlfriend and her less-than-exemplary private detective father. With them he carries on his passion, and searches for clues to a possible antidote to the poison he was forced to swallow. |

Only available as part of the Ultimate Edition(of Patlabor WXIII), these three theatrical short cartoons bring the real Patlabor stars back one last time, albeit in quite a different manner. Goto, Nagumo, and the rest have become super-deformed CGI puppets, and each of the shorts is a self-referential “instructional video” that gleefully shreds apart the Patlabor mythos. Goto talks at length about just how stupid the concept of a “Revolver Cannon” really is, Shige speculates on ways to sell more “Patlabor” merchandise by making the Ingrams transform, and Nagumo reveals the ludicrous truth behind Special Vehicles' mysterious source of income. MiniPato is one big in-joke, but folks in the know will find it hilarious, and it represents the first time Mamoru Oshii has written comedy since the Patlabor TV series ended over a decade ago. |

Mikuki and Natsumi are former Japanese cops who now live in L.A. and who've joined the L.A.P.D. and are partners again. They quickly become occustomed to the wild American ways of catching criminals by using powerful weapons. But soon, they and their new co-workers (looking like American clones of the Bokuto Police Station members) are thrust into the middle of a car theft operation when Miyuki's newly purchased '73 Ford Mustang is stolen. When the thief appears to be none other than Natsumi's beau Shoji-kun, things get a little strange. Can Miyuki and Natsumi catch the criminals? Is the thief really Shoji-kun? Will Cain succeed where Nakajima-kun failed? Will this police force have enough weapons to do the job? |

Seina Yamada is an unlucky teen boy. In fact his luck is so bad that he can't score a break if he tried. While on his way to his friend's house (taking a shortcut which takes him past his senpai Tenchi Masaki's home), his bad luck causes his bike to break. As he comes to rest at the Masaki lake, something crashes into the lake and knocks him out. When he comes to, a beautiful blonde lady is over him, relieved he hasn't been harmed. Assuming Seina has been training with Tenchi, she gives him a pamphlet to join Galaxy Police and tells him her name is Amane Kaunaq. Seina's family thinks the pamplet is some sort of prize entry and force Seina to put his thumb print on it. |
